Rivers fends off Brooks, stays undefeated.
By Mike Abelson (@ABELS0N) NORTH ANDOVER -- All season Rivers School has beaten its opponents with glitz and glamour. The Red Wings averaged 12.5 goals in their opening six games, but the Brooks School dragged Rivers down into a slow grinder with a strong, determined zone defense. Even without all the goals Rivers was able to adapt and beat the Bishops 6-3 to push its undefeated record to 7-0. “I thought it was a chess match, the defenses were good, and our offense survived with some timely goals,” Rivers coach Justin Walker said. “I don't think it was a consistently excellent performance, but I think it was good enough to get a W.” [caption id="attachment_13470" align="ali
