NEEDHAM - It was football weather on Saturday evening, which made the chippy nature of the L-S/Needham matchup fitting.
It was a close, physical affair as expected between rivals, with L-S hanging on for an 11-8 win.
The Warriors (2-1, 2-0 vs. MIAA opponents) got four goals from Rex Friedholm and two each from Drew Laguerre and Brady Malo. Malo also had an assist. Nolan Martindale, Owen Greens and Brendan Dooley all potted goals as well. Kaeden Ryan had three asssists.
For the Rockets (0-2), Spencer Chapman had a hat trick and Sean Riley added two goals and three assists. Tate Hoffmeister had a goal while Jack Curran and Matt Ledbury each added a goal and an assist.
