BRAINTREE - Someone was finally going to have that post-victory feeling for the first time on Wednesday when Pingree visited Thayer. The inter-league matchup between members of the Eastern Independent League and ISL was also a meeting of winless teams early on in the season. The Tigers were coming off close losses to very good Salisbury and St. Paul's teams. Meanwhile, the Highlanders made the trip to Braintree days after losing their season opener by a goal to Middlesex. So, with two teams playing desperate lacrosse, this one turned into a double overtime instant classic, with Connor O'Neil potting the game winner with 1:05 left in the second extra frame for an 8-7 Pingree win.
