High five for Trabucco rockets Needham past A-B

By Josh Perry I BostonLax.net NEEDHAM - In the season opener, Needham coach Dave Wainwright talked about the “next man up” philosophy in the program that has helped the No. 5 Rockets cope with the graduation of several household names. On Saturday night against the defending Div. 1 state champions, a new name emerged for Needham. Sophomore attacker Antonio Trabucco scored five goals, including a second half hat trick, to power the Needham offense and help the Rockets to a 14-7 victory over No. 18 Acton-Boxborough at Memorial Field. Wainwright said, “He played his role to a ‘T.’ He did exactly what the coaching staff had showed him and asked of him and I think he’s feeli
