On Saturday, second-seeded BC High took one more big step towards another state championship game berth, hammering seventh-seeded rival Xaverian 14-5 in the Elite 8. Will Emsing and Pat Maroney each had a hat trick with Emsing adding two assists and Maroney adding one. Cooper Chapman had two goals and three assists, while Brody Rice and Nolan Hurley each potted two goals. James Carroll and Jack Geary scored once. For Xaverian, Cole Jette had two goals and Dante Mariani, Sebastian Reyes and Henry Hasselback scored.
