By Ryan Kilian @masspreps DOVER --- The Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors received a standout effort from their senior-led squad on Saturday, as they defeated Hingham, 12-7, to win the 2017 Coaches Challenge Cup Championship. The win is the third consecutive Coaches Challenge Cup Championship for L-S and their fifth title in the eight years of the prestigious event. “I have said before, I think they are the best team in the state,” L-S coach Brian Vona said of his opponents. "I think they are loaded offensively, they are poised, and their defense was significantly better than we knew. That is as tough of a team as there is in Massachusetts and we feel really good about winning the game."
