By Owen Hart Boston Lax Correspondent DORCHESTER - The last time BC High and St. John's Prep met in the 2023 D1 state championship, there were 30 goals scored with Prep winning in a wild affair. It was a much different story this time around on Tuesday, but the same result. A slow and methodical defensive battle ensued when the teams met for the first time after having an initial meeting postponed by rain a few weeks ago, with the defending champs grinding out a 7-4 win. Both goalies were outstanding. Prep's Max Putney (8 saves) and Mattheus DuPlessis (6 saves) split the duties each half while BC High's Charlie McCullough stood on his head at time with 10 stops.
