MARLBOROUGH - Longmeadow couldn’t really have asked for a much better first half than the one it played Tuesday evening against Hingham in its most significant game to date.
Minus a rather sloppy few minutes by both teams early on in the first quarter, the Lancers played close to a flawless opening 24 minutes. Not only did the Western Mass powerhouse score six goals of its own, but, more importantly, it also held a talented Harbormen team scoreless, allowing itself to build confidence and a big lead along the way.
