NEWTON - Staring at the end of its season - and the end of head coach Tim Gardner's career - Xaverian wasn't quite ready for things to be over just yet despite being down heading to the fourth quarter in an MIAA second round game on Wednesday. Trailing 10-9, Charlie Comerford tied the game with 9:24 remaining and Reese Pezzuto gave the Hawks an 11-10 lead over Newton North with just over five minutes left. From there, strong defense, more good goaltending from freshman Cole Moore, a man-up tally from Jake Fraga and a ridiculous one-man clearing effort by Joe O'Donnell sealed a 12-10 win.
