NEEDHAM - For 12 minutes on Friday with a berth in the D1 Final 4 on the line, it seemed like Needham not only hadn't gotten off the bus, but they were still in Needham. Second-seeded Lincoln-Sudbury potted three goals and controlled possession for all of about 45 seconds, outshooting by the seventh-seeded Rockets 13-0. The second quarter was a completely different story. Needham exploded for eight goals, building a four-goal halftime lead before cruising to a 14-7 win.
