Marshfield 8, Medfield 7 – Rams close it out on defense for big win over Warriors

By Owen Hart BostonLax Correspondent MARSHFIELD - Two of the states best battled the elements along with each other, with Marshfield outlasting the 2024 D3 champs to pull out a one-goal victory, 8-7 on Saturday. Medfield got a pole goal from Ben Lusby on the man up opportunity to pull within one with under a minute left. After a face off win and a timeout, Medfield looked to send the game to OT with 13.7 remaining. Ian Reddy got off a good shot to try and tie, but it ricocheted off Marshfield goalie Dylan Burhoe and the Rams defense prevented any attempt of a scoop and score as the time expired. The Rams soon stormed the field to celebrate moving to 3-2. Medfield dropped to 4-1.
