The Dover-Sherborn junior racked up five goals and two assists, including three straight scores in the first 2:40 of the second quarter, to lead the Raiders past Catholic Memorial 14-8 in the season opener for both. Laidman's big run came as a result of a three-minute, locked-in penalty called on a CM player for an illegal stick.
