BELMONT - After starting the year 0-2 with two non-league losses to Deerfield and Choate, Belmont Hill head coach Tim Sullivan knew his team would be fine. Why? Because of a practice the morning following the Choate loss. Fast forward two months and he was absolutely right. Lindan Verville's goal with 46 seconds left in overtime gave top-seeded Belmont Hill a wild 8-7 win over sixth-seeded Tabor in the ISL championship game on Sunday afternoon.
