Hingham tests itself at Darien Jamboree (Highlights)

DARIEN (CT) - In weather more suited for football, Hingham traveled to Darien, Connecticut this weekend to test themselves before the regular season. The Harbormen - coming off two straight MIAA state semifinal trips - faced Darien and Staples during the annual Darien Jamboree on Saturday. Grinding out the rainy, windy scrimmages in March ultimately leads to success in May for many teams, so it was a productive day all around. "First day out with live competition against these great teams, with Darien and Staples, I think we did ok," said head coach John Todd. "We're going to work the bugs out. We've got a lot of young guys, so it's just a work in progress at that point." Dom Vecchi
