five things: 2016 and looking ahead to 2017

After a 79-day season, and thousands of games, the 2016 lacrosse season has come to an end. It was fun, and, on the field, it was abundantly clear that the talent level in Massachusetts has never been higher.
Despite having repeat champions in all three MIAA divisions, and the ISL, the depth of talent in the state is incredibly high, and the seeds are already being planted for a top-notch 2017 campaign. But as we wrap up the 2016 season I want to look back and five of the biggest things I took away from a thrilling and entertaining year of lacrosse as well as look ahead to next year.
