DUXBURY - Winning an in-season tournament doesn't guarantee you'll have success in the big tourney coming up in about a month, but it sure helps.
Duxbury has looked like one of the best teams in the state so far this season and the Dragons made another statement on Saturday, hammering the defending D2 state champs 15-5 in the Players Cup championship.
Zach Falls and TJ Pikul each had four goals while Pikul also added an assist. Liam Godwin had a hat trick and Colin Hulett also potted two goals. Jack Sovik and Sam Wein added a goal apiece. Max Mazanec made seven saves.
Reading got two goals from Joe Castelli and a goal each from Aidan Koster, Jack Filipski and Nick Casarano. Cullen G
