Despite outcome, Saturday was special day for Harvard & New England lacrosse

CAMBRIDGE - By 9:30 a.m. on Saturday tailgates were firing and there was a buzz around Harvard Stadium and Jordan Field. Of course, the incredible weather helped, but whether it was folks wearing red or crimson, the big game atmosphere was palpable when No. 1 Cornell took on No. 10 Harvard. Tents were up, flags were flying, friendly banter could be heard back-and-forth walking into Jordan. Food trucks, games for kids, free shirts, music, lax sticks everywhere and over 4,000 people packed the stands and lined the hills on the end lines.
