By Nate Weitzer @nweitzer7 BOSTON – The Lincoln-Sudbury players stood side-to-side in t-shirts that read “Lost Cause” as they accepted the Division 1 state championship trophy Saturday at Nickerson Field. By starting fast and hanging on for an 8-7 win over BC High in a state finals rematch, Hayden Frey, Brett Williams and Jack Sutherland put any doubts about their abilities fully to bed by wrapping up a third consecutive state title for the Warriors and disproving the doubters, who labeled their class a “lost cause” when they were coming up through the youth program. “They were good as lost, and that’s why we got those T-shirts,” Lincoln-Sudbury head coach Brian Vona
