Earlier this week St. John's Prep announced the hiring of John Pynchon as its new head lacrosse coach. Pynchon, a 2001 graduate of St. John's Prep, comes to Danvers after a nine-year stint as the head coach at Beverly High. His list of accomplishments coaching the Panthers is an impressive one. Pynchon's Panthers won seven straight Northeastern Conference titles, losing just one league game in the process, Division 2 North titles in back-to-back years (2014 & 2015), and a state semifinal in 2013. His 2016 team finished with a record of 21-2 which was the best Beverly season, in terms of wins, since the Panthers won the state title in 2013. Pynchon amassed a record of 132-60 in his
