By Ryan Kilian @masspreps BOSTON -- No. 6 BC High opened and closed Saturday's game in impressive fashion, as they built an early 3-0 lead and held No. 19 Longmeadow scoreless in the fourth quarter, to earn an 11-5 win. In a battle of staunch close defenses, BC High's proved stingier, as the unit of Will Bowen, Tommy Joyce and Jack Donahue buckled down and limited opportunities for the Lancers offense all afternoon. “We defended much better today,” BC High coach Steve Lydon said. "It was a team defensive effort. We know we have good players on that side of the ball, but the success that we have is always about the team effort.
