BBLL: Team Steak sends a message; Blazers get first win

Defending champs win battle of unbeatens Team Steak put a stranglehold on the Voyageurs and on first place in the Boston Box Lacrosse league summer session with a dominant 14-3 win over the previously unbeaten Voyageurs on July 19 at South Shore Sports Center in Hingham. The battle for first place was close for about two-thirds of the first half, but when Pat Fraser (Johns Hopkins) scored two of his three goals, it broke a 2-2 tie and keyed dominance that lasted for the rest of the game. Ten different players netted goals for Steak, the BBLL Summer defending champs, with Nick DeSisto (UMass) and PJ Kelleher (Connecticut College) joining Fraser with having multiple goals on the night.
