In a matchup to kick off vacation week between two Top 10 teams, it was Acton-Boxborough surviving a slugfest with Reading, 12-10 in the first round of the Players' Cup on Tuesday. The seventh-ranked Revolution (6-2) got a five-goal, one assist performance from Ethan Fennel and a hat trick from Will Cronin. Tristan Clayton, Thomas Quirk, Chris Maranian and Evan Lavene also scored. Maranian had three assists, Clayton had one, and Conor Lent had one. Chris Houle made a whopping 15 saves in cage.
