On paper, it looked like No. 6 Reading and Wakefield was going to be a close showdown between two Middlesex League rivals.
Instead, it was a 16-5 road blowout for the Rockets on Tuesday. Reading moved to 13-2 while Wakefield dropped to 11-3.
Tyler Nichols (5 G, 3 A) and Dylan Martello (4 G, 1 A) led the offense. Griff Haggerty and Ethan Filipski each potted two goals. Nick Casarano added a goal and three assists. Luke Johnson had a goal and two assists and Gavin Furness had a goal. Conor Wicken added two assists. Filipski was also 18/22 at the face off X, while Charlie Webberly had nine saves in net.
