ACTON - With the playoffs set to begin next week, No. 6 Acton-Boxborough hosted No. 11 Mansfield for a postseason tuneup on Thursday afternoon. Except this wasn't really an ordinary 'tuneup' game. That's because Mansfield - the top team in D2 according to the MIAA Power Rankings - entered with an unblemished 18-0 mark. While a win for A-B wouldn't give them a title or anything, it certainly added stakes to an already interesting matchup. Ultimately, 15 saves from Chris Houle and four goals each from Christian Maranian and Will Cronin were enough for the Revolution to get rid of a very pesky Hornets team, 13-7.
