When you hear Longmeadow lacrosse, you think championships.
21 of them to be exact.
No. 21 came last June when the Lancers took down Marshfield in a wild overtime game for the D2 title. It was as sweet as any other for head coach Keith Campbell.
Not just because it was a championship, but because it put Longmeadow back where it belonged in the hierarchy of Massachusetts high school lacrosse.
Yet still, at the start of most seasons, the progra, finds itself having to fight for respect.
