GROTON -- Lawrence Academy hosted Middlesex on Saturday, as the ISL season officially kicked off. The two teams had been scheduled to play at Middlesex on Friday, but the game was canceled due to snow (as were all other ISL games scheduled for Friday). This was the first official game for both teams of the 2021 season. Both teams had one prior scrimmage under their belts, as Lawrence had scrimmaged Tabor (11 - 7 loss) and Middlesex had scrimmaged Dexter (20-2 win). It was no surprise that both teams were excited to compete again, as neither team had played an official game since May 2019.
