This past Saturday, Groton hosted Middlesex, as the ISL season rolled into week number two. In week #1, Middlesex beat Lawrence Academy convincingly 14-4, while Groton lost to St. Mark’s in OT 7-6, which was a surprising result. In a game that was a lot closer than the score indicated, it would be visiting Middlesex Z, who would come out on top, defeating Groton 11-5 to improve to 3-0 on the season. In the BostonLax ISL pre-season poll, Middlesex was ranked #4, and Groton was ranked #10, but the two teams also share some similarities.
