2021 MIAA D2 C/W Tournament Game Recap: No. 4 Longmeadow 21, No. 13 St. John’s Shrewsbury 5

LONGMEADOW -- You would typically see a Longmeadow versus St. John’s Shrewsbury matchup in the championship or semifinal game of the MIAA CMass/WWass Sectional bracket. Due to the MIAA selection seedings being solely based on records, we were given a first-round matchup between, arguably, the two top teams in the Section. After a balanced first quarter of play, the No. 4 Longmeadow Lancers led the No. 13 St. John's of Shrewsbury Pioneers 4-2. Th Lancers would hit the gas to start the second and never look back, sprinting away with a 21-5 win and advancing to the next round of tournament play.
