WESTWOOD -- On April 13, Xaverian took down Duxbury 13-11 in a game that featured five goals from Trevor Carroll. On Friday night, the two Division 1 heavyweights met again in the South quarterfinals, and the No. 6 Dragons proved that past meetings mean very little come tournament time.
Despite a late comeback bid by the No. 3 Hawks, Duxbury fought to a 9-8 win with Duncan Gillis (9 saves) turning aside the would-be tying goal on a shot by Jack Daoust at the buzzer, allowing the Dragons to advance.
