2016 MIAA Rule Changes
I've seen a lot of confusion amongst players, coaches, and even some referees at scrimmages and the first couple days of the season, so I figured we'd re-post the NFHS release. The main takeaways from my perspective are that U's in the crosse are still legal, as long as no shooting strings are more than 4 inches below the top of the stick; batting/kicking the ball back to the offensive half on a potential over and back is legal but a defender can not reach over and pick up a ball on the offensive half, and the new head regulations (basically making them NCAA legal) aren't going in effect until 2018, but make sure if you're buying a new head it does fall under the new regulations.
