ISL Playoffs: (1) Belmont Hill 15, (5) Rivers 12 – Defending champs survive Redwings to reach ISL title game again
BELMONT - For the majority of the season, Rivers kept on winning but were often doubted because of their strength of schedule.
Belmont Hill didn't make that mistake and still, the Sextants found themselves in a dogfight in an ISL semifinal on Saturday morning.
Fifth-seeded Rivers took a one-goal lead with seven minutes left in the third, but the top-seeded defending champs buckled down the rest of the way, giving up just two more goals en route to a 15-12 win.
The Sextants (14-3) will have a chance to repeat at home on Sunday when they host sixth-seeded Tabor after the Seawolves stunned second-seeded St. Sebastian's in overtime. Rivers dropped to 12-4.
