By Bruce Lerch Friday is seeding day for the MIAA lacrosse tournaments, which are expected to begin either Sunday or Monday. The lacrosse tournament is unique in that, unlike a majority of MIAA sports, it is not seeded strictly by win percentage. Instead, lacrosse uses the following three-part calculation: Overall win percentage – teams are ranked in order according to overall win percentage. Success against other tournament teams – teams are ranked using victories and total games played against other teams that have qualified for postseason play. Coaches poll – teams are ranked subjectively by the tournament seeding committee: the tournament director, league representatives
