Boston Box Lacrosse League starts October 6 New fall-winter format, plus expansion for New England’s only men’s box league The Boston Box Lacrosse League has announced plans to begin fall-winter play on October 6 at the South Shore Sports Center in Hingham, Mass., with its primary season concluding with a championship contest in February. The schedule represents a change from the BBLL having separate fall and winter leagues to now playing one longer season. “Going from two sessions to one longer session helps our players and should make things that much more competitive,” said Randy Fraser, the league’s founder. “There are real rivalries and close games in this league
