For almost a decade now, Billerica and Longmeadow have faced off in an early-season matchup at Bentley University in Waltham. Usually - at least for the last handful of years - the game is always a back-and-forth slugfest under the lights between two of the top programs in the state. This time, the game took place on Sunday afternoon and was anything but a back-and-forth affair. Billerica rolled to an 8-0 win thanks to stifling defense and an outstanding effort in net from Nolan Heffernan. The Indians (6-1) las won six straight since a season-opening loss to Lincoln-Sudbury.
