2018 Chowda Cup Day 1: Foxboro Earns Team Win

FOXBORO—Less ‘me,’ more ‘we.’
As soon as the Foxboro Warriors adhered to head coach Matt Noone's mantra on Tuesday morning, they were off to the races, earning a 12-4 win over the visiting Falmouth Clippers in the opening round of the 2018 Chowda Cup.
“It was being selfless,” Noone said. “Drawing a double and making two passes, and then being able to shoot. I always tell them to get out of ‘me’ and into ‘we.’ I think in the first quarter, they all wanted to say ‘I got this, I can help us win.’ Which is great, I love that mentality, but within a team concept, it’s gotta be ‘we.’ And that’s what it turned into.”
