It took three years, but BC High finally slayed the St. John's Prep dragon on Thursday evening. In a defensive stalemate, the road Eagles prevailed over the home Eagles 5-4, beating Prep for the first time since 2023. The loss for SJP also ended a 52-game in-state winning streak. Most of the result can be attributed to goalie TJ Emsing, who had 15 saves for BC High. Enzo Serio had a hat trick and Nate Rodgers had two goals. For Prep, Thias Tolo, Beckett Lee, Bo Minogue and Cam Mitchell each had one goal. Will Crawford won 10 of 13 face offs.
